Uprising 300

Designed for the Student Club of Tolmin, in celebration of the 300th anniversary of the Tolmin Peasant UprisingTM, which happened back in 1713. This little design graces the new student T-shirts & if I say so myself, it came out pretty nifty. I'm posting it almost a month late for two important reasons: 1 - I didn't want to cramp the T-shirts as they came out & spoil the surprise; and 2 - I've moved to Utrecht and surprisingly enough, that's taken a lot of my energy the last 2 weeks. I'll be back to drawing more regularly soon.

Also, surprisingly enough, the weather in Utrecht is sunny and fantastic.

How A T-shirt Design Gets Made - pt. 1

A heptagram, double paths, different stroke thicknesses.

The overlaps marked in green are going to be doubled, stroked, etc.

Overlaps, can't have too many overlaps in this occulty stuff.
This is now just 4 main layers of stuff, 2 red and 2 black.

The circle turns it from a heptagram to a heptacle.

Now to add a bit more stuff to the middle ...

And more overlaps for the pentagram.

Adjusted the line thicknesses and now it's a pentacle in a heptacle.

Going for a Slayer feel with this one, hand-lettered on a computer,
but I see I'm gonna have to modify the Ms and Ns a bit.

Or maybe the full version is just too crowded. Time to sleep on it.
